USS Daniel Boone
Lafayette Class Nuclear Submarines

  Kit# S124A  $60.00  - 16" long. This is a RESIN kit.

The Lafayette-class of boats is very similar to the later Benjamin Franklin-class of submarines, the main difference being that the Franklin-class has quieter machinery.
All of these ships have diesel-electric standby machinery, snorts, and "out-board" auxiliary propellers for emergency use. These ships have been fazed out with the
expanding fleet of Ohio-class.

The Yankee Modelworks kit of the USS Daniel Boone(SSBN-629) is a 60s version of the Lafayette Class Missile Boat.
The kit has a one piece resin hull, white metal and photo-etched parts. A detailed instruction set and decals are included with the kit.

The kit is a easy build and highly recommended for the experienced resin kit builder.
