Officials participated in a formal ceremony to commission the Navy's newest nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan.

Vice President Cheney delivered the principal address and spoke about President Reagan’s legacy and the state of U.S. naval power. Nancy Reagan served as ship's sponsor and gave the order to "man our ship and bring her to life."
